Description
Rare giltwood bedroom mirror (sometimes called a “bridal mirror”).
The pediment is adorned with a large rocaille motif centred on a basket, while the inner borders of the central mirror are finely carved with friezes of pearls and lozenges.
The original mercury mirror is magnified at the bottom by a dcor of scrolls and acanthus leaves with a central rosette simulating a sunflower.
