Description
French coffer or chest made in the 19th century. The many brass parts give this item a unique style. The numerous compartments in the upper part, as well as the storage compartments in the lid, suggest that this coffer was a trade chest. Likewise, the practicality of this trunk put it that it was used to travel to different places or customers’ homes. The two handles are slightly different. One of them was probably replaced when this trunk was still in daily use. Very decorative and full of character. Good antique condition 53 / 34 / 27 cm 7 kg
