Description
Signed by a mysterious L. Risse and dated 1962 in Strasbourg, this zoomorphic coffee pot is a sculptural form. Made of glazed earth in brown tones, it is decorated with green plant motifs. Attractively sized, decorative and beautifully crafted, it is an interesting reinterpretation of traditional folk art pieces.
The vase takes the form of a zoomorphic pitcher. The ceramic is signed L Risse with a stylus on the reverse, dated 1962 in Strasbourg. In very good condition, a few light traces are visible on the glaze, including a chip on the spout.
