Beautiful antique buffet cabinet!
Dainty furniture
The lower part is quite straight with subtle decorative carvings with 2 doors and 2 drawers – lots of storage space, everything lockable!
The particularly pretty structure makes the furniture a real eye-catcher: curved decorative supports, polished mirrored doors crowned with a pretty decorative strip.
The upper doors are also lockable.
All doors close perfectly, the locks work smoothly and there are 3 matching keys – probably not original, as they are all different 😉
The condition is really good for its age – the small defects are documented in the pictures:
There is a small recent chip inside the top inside of the right door.
The crown broke at some point and was skillfully repaired from behind.
Unfortunately, the woodworm has also taken a liking to this wonderful piece of furniture — the back legs in particular are damaged.
Although it appears to be an older infestation, we have treated the furniture again —better safe than sorry.
It wouldn’t be a big deal to have a carpenter replace the rear legs for aesthetic reasons – it’s not necessarily necessary.
This cabinet is simply a beautiful original nostalgic piece!
