Wonderful late 19th-century antique gilded spelter material figurine with a copper finish featuring a majestic chap sitting upon a haystack with a scythe in his left hand and a cut a piece of hay that he had been working on. Resting on an intricate rock background, the sculpture represents peasant art subjects showing working-class parts of Victorian life.
The patina shines through and makes a real antique-aged look that will look fantastic in a period home.
