This engraving is part of “Album Fenaille” or “Album Goupil”, a work devoted to the drawings of Auguste Rodin, published in 1897. There are a majority of drawings related to
Dante’s Inferno and which are generally grouped together under the name of “black drawings”.
A copy of this precious album can be found in the archives of the Rodin Museum.
