Etching (heliogravure) enhanced with watercolours on Vellum paper measuring 42.5 x 31 cm.
The etching was published by Ateliers Goupil in 1897.
Limited edition of 125 copies, delivered with a certificate of authenticity by the gallery and a photocopy of the publisher’s proof of edition.
Very good condition, small tear at the edge of the right margin.

This etching is part of the “Album Fenaille” or “Album Goupil”, published in 1897, a work dedicated to the drawings of Auguste Rodin. It contains a large part of the drawings of Dante’s Inferno,
which are generally summarized under the name “Black Drawings”.
A copy of this valuable album is in the archives of the Rodin Museum.
