Aro’s dry mark is also present on the lower margin. Numbered on the lower right corner in pencil: 1/90. Edition of 90 prints. The signature on plate is present on the lower left corner. A cachet. Mint conditions. Hans Peter Wilhelm “Jean” Arp (Strasbourg, 1887 – Basel, 1966) was a French painter, sculptor and poet. His fame is linked to the overcoming of the traditional forms of figurative art, and to the discovery of new forms, ranging from collages to papiers dchirs, to fragments of various materials joined together. His activity is placed at the center of that vast current of modern art which, from Cubism to Surrealism, set itself the task not of representing reality but of inventing new realities.
