Description
Birches. Oil on canvas. 46,5×70,5 cm. Arnolds Pankoks (born 1914.21.IX – 2008.) Graduated Art Academy of Latvia (1937 43, 1945 47) with diploma work “Restoration of the Daugava bank” by G. Eliass guidance. Artist was a teacher in Liepaja school of applied arts (1947 50) and also worked in portrait workshop at combine Maksla. A. Pankoks took part in exhibitions since 1949. Solo exhibitions was in Riga (1968, 1975, 1980 87 (every year), 1990, 1994), Sinole and Mezotne (1976), Sauriesi (1984), Ainazi (1985, 1989), Janmuiza (1986), Ligatne and Ikskile (1987), Toronto, Canada (1991).
