Magnificent black silk and old gold.
This very beautiful piece is a sumptuous late 19th century work, most certainly a personal order in a very good quality fabric, black in color and stamped with small patted crosses, Templar cross.
from a purely Christian point of view, the cross was is the most important and most significant symbol of the suffering and the death of Jesus. The Templars aligned themselves on Christianity and the protection of the Holy Land, and people visiting this land.
The Templar cross is the symbol of the martyr of the Templars, it was carried on the tunic of these knights. Dying on a battlefield was considered a real honor for them, in fact this sacrifice was the guarantee for them of a place in paradise.
On this black silkor is represented in its center a very beautiful Latin cross, with a gold fabric, made up of bars cutting at right angles and themselves stamped with cross paths patted with slightly different but perfectly identifiable geometric shapes.
She measures: H: 126 x L120
from the most beautiful effect in an interior, as much for the quality of the fabric, the symbolism and the very beautiful conservation of the object.
