Description
A brass box with a sloping lid, which is embossed: Be tide and your shoes will be here. There are forged relief ornaments. The box was probably used to store various brushes, waxes and shoe polish, and it is convenient to lift your legs on the sloping lid. It may have been used for the household and by street waxers, to earn a living.
