“Helpful Dog” by General Photographic Agency Teddy the Dog holds onto child actor Jackie Lucas (1919 – 1983) by the tail of his golfing jacket as he tries to play a ball, which is floating in a river. A publicity still for the unreleased Mack Sennett comedy short, ‘Rough and Ready’, directed by William Campbell, 1923. Teddy, a great dane, was also known as Keystone Teddy.
