The Fibra basket, a design by Sebastian Herkner, makes everyday life a little more beautiful. You can use the basket, available in three sizes and four colors, as a fruit bowl on the dining table, a tray for keys and mail in the hallway, or to store towels neatly in the bathroom. Each basket is handcrafted in Colombia using Esparto grass for these woven baskets. The grass grows wild in the Colombian highlands, starting from an altitude of 2,600 meters. After its been cut, the grass is dried and dyed, using mainly natural pigments. Just this preparation of the grass takes seven days, while the actual weaving is done in three to six days, depending on the size of the basket.
