Rivers of the Tiber is an original work depicting a typical urban Roman landscape realized by the Italian artist Nazareno Gattamelata. He frequented the Roman artistic environment that revolves around the “trident” between the poles of the Caff Rosati and Canova in Piazza del Popolo and the Osterie of the “Bottaro” and the “King of friends” around Via Ripetta. He makes friends in particular with the poet Sandro Penna and the sculptors Francesco Coccia and Pietro de Laurentiis.
