Description
We are selling this fantastic early framed hand colored engraving. Important, rare and coveted view of Piazza Tebaldo Brusato in Brescia animated by characters and carriages in the foreground. At the bottom double title in Italian and French. The famous “optical views” of the Remondini, an exceptional example of Italian popular printing, were born to be inserted in special illuminated machinery to be able to admire distant places with a curious effect in three dimensions. Usually with signs of wear this specimen is in excellent condition with beautiful coeval coloring.
Condition: Very good from what is visible. We are unsure if it is laid down or the margins are intact.
